We invite all to pray for help for flood and war victims

My prayer for those who are suffering in India and Vietnam from raging rains and those who are under attack in Georgia.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You with an urgent request to intervene and end the horrendous rains that are happening in India and Vietnam. August 11, 2008 scores dead in the floods, more rains on way. Flash floods and landslides brought by tropical storm Kammuri since Saturday have battered mountainous villages.In Vietnam more than 100 people killed and 48 missing, the government said on Monday. The toll from the disaster is expected to rise. Communication links were still cut off for many affected areas even though river waters were receding after nearing their highest level in four decades, disaster officials said. A tropical low-pressure system in the Tonkin Gulf and moving towards the northern region, would dump heavy rains and trigger landslides from late Monday, the government said in an urgent message to the military, police and rescue forces. The rains just keep coming and many have no means of taking care of themselves. We truly need you to come to the people's rescue and provide for their needs. 

O Lord, we praise You and love You for all Your blessings, grace in sending Your only begotten Son to the world to shed His blood for the sins of the world to give those who know Jesus Christ and say that He is the Son of God and those who hunger after the truth,  eternal life in Heaven. Father we pray for continued forgiveness for our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Father we pray if it is in Your will to provide for their needs funding and volunteers that can be effective in helping those who have been affected.  Heal the sick and brokenhearted.

Father we say a special prayer for the people who are bombed by Russian and Georgian warriors and pray that this war will be quieted through diplomacy rather than killing. Many are losing their homes. We pray that will be provisions for those who were visited with tragedy.

Christians and families all over the world need Your love and mercy and inspiration to stand strong in the Your Word. Keep a hedge around them. Help us relate to others that Your miraculous power is still available today when people come to Christ Jesus personally with their problems. You wrote to us that He is knocking on our door wanting to get into our lives to help us live the Gospel word for word. Father,

Help us give of ourselves that Your name might be exalted. We look to You to bring healing and homes for the poor in Your time.
